This design research course consisted of two assignments that both explored user needs, persona development, and how research can have an integrative relationship with design. 
Assignment 1: Mapping the User Experience
The goal was to create a user journey map based on our interviews and observations about the COTA bus system. It is meant to clarify the bus riding experience including patterns and pain points from the perspective of a user.
Assignment 2: Restaurant Research Group Project
The goal was to solve unmet needs of the user and the service provider in the context of a fine dining restaurant. As a team, we created personas, conducted interviews, and designed prototypes for our solutions. Below are the menu mock ups we created to address the user need of better marked options for those with dietary restrictions.
