As a part of my fashion and retail minor, this aesthetics course introduces the elements and principles of design with a heavy focus in photoshop skills and techniques. We did several projects during the course that focused on the perception and presentation of the self and its surrounding environment.
Assignment 1: Photoshop Warmup
This was the first thing we were assigned and the goal was just to play and explore the different functions of photoshop.
Assignment 2: Original Fashion Design
We were tasked with creating a fashion design using garments that had strong use of the design elements.
Assignment 3: Interior Design Floor Plan
This assignment was to create an interior design floor plan employing the principles of design
Assignment 4: Group Project on "Svelte"
I was assigned the advertisement portion of this multifaceted group project in which we were tasked with creating designs that embody the word "svelte".
Assignment 5: Olfactory Advertisement
This billboard mockup was an assignment meant to make us think about how our olfactory senses and perceptions influence how we would design something to emanate that particular scent.
Assignment 6: Personality Cluster
This project had us create a photoshop collage as well as an original design in the area of our choosing to represent our personality cluster. My main cluster is "neutral" so I brought that feeling into my collage as well as my fashion garments.
